But damn ye altogether; damn them for a pack of crafty rascals, and ye who serve them, for a parcel of henhearted numbskulls They villify us, the scoundrels do, when there is only this difference: they rob the poor under cover of law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under protection of our own courage. Had you better not make one of us than sneak after these villains for employment."

*the conversation continued:

Captain Baer told him, that his conscience would not allow him to break the laws of God and man.

"You are a devilish conscience rascal", replied Bellamy; "I am a free prince, and I have as much authority to make war on the whole world, as he who has a hundred sail of ships at sea, and an army of 100,000 men in the field; and this my conscience tells me: but there is no arguing with such snivelling puppies, who allow superiors to kick them about deck at pleasure."

Aye, be there any gold and silver to plunder?

Good old Cap'n Sam might have been the inspiration for this ditty:

The Laws of God, The Laws of Man

The laws of God, the laws of man
He may keep that will and can
Not I: Let God and man decree
Laws for themselves and not for me;

And if my ways are not as theirs
Let them mind their own affairs.
Their deeds I judge and most condemn
Yet when did I make laws for them?

Please yourselves, Say I, and they
Need only look the other way.
But no, they will not; they must still
Wrest their neighbor to their will,

And make me dance as they desire
With jail and gallows and hellfire
And how am I to face the odds
Of man's bedevilment and God's?

I, a stranger and afraid
In a world I never made
They will be master, right or wrong;
Though, both are foolish, both are strong

And since, my soul, we cannot flee
To Saturn or to Mercury
Keep we must, If we can
These foreign laws of God and man.

I've always wanted a Safe - Semi - Rock 'n Roll position lower.

I'm not familiar with the extra lever between the bolt release and the fire selector. Anyone care to enlighten me? :dontknow:
Thanks

It is not a lever, but an aftermarket no rotate hammer/trigger pin.

Here is a description from KNS.

"For protecting a valuable select-fire receiver, or even a semi-auto receiver that has seen a high volume of fire, these non-rotating trigger pins are a must. Anti-creep retainers keep the trigger and hammer pins from constantly rotating during extended firing sessions and weakening the receiver walls."
